 In general 8×42 hunting binoculars are best for best for all types of hunting including deer, turkey or fowl. That said even the maginification of 8 isvery good as that will mean an otimum size as far as hunting terrains are concerned.

As far as use is concerned this is best used in the sporting events and concerts, hunting and bird watching but at the same time these may be not that good as some of the other Nikon products. A lot of people find the construction bad as  well as the the retractable eyecups are bad in their way of working. Even tethering the lens cups with a strap is not a good idea.
