Hunting Binoculars review

As far as the hunting binocular reviews are concerned in this blog of mine I am going to provide for the reviews from time to time of the various binoculars and these are my reviews with nothing against any particular brand or type of bins.  Also whenever possible I will be pointing you to links about reviews which are given by the famous people including some good blogs of people and these will help you procure new ones as well as listen to the people who are experts in this field.

For example 2005 Cornell Lab of ornithology has ranked about 78 pair of binoculars based on certain criteria and I found that review the best one because of the fact that it was an independent study conducted by people who are experts in their field and were out to find the best pair as opposed to people who pay to get their binoculars rated and reviewed. Nothing bad in that apart from the fact that these best hunting binoculars search can become an exercise in brand promotion sometimes.

The characteristics of a typical review are

Image quality

Depth of Field

Eyeglass friendliness

Evening time focusing accuracy

Eye Relief – It is the distance between the eye and the nearest lens which is the ocular lens. Most binoculars re reviewed for this also.

Exit Pupil is a major benchmark for rating the binoculars based on the image quality.

Apart form this the binoculars of various types will be reviewed here and these are

Bushnell Binoculars with prices less than $50.

Top of the line H-shaped binoculars which are usually roof prism binoculars

Compact binoculars – Objective lens less than 42 mm

Full size binoculars – objective lens greater than 42 mm
